- Introduction
- Compliance & Competency Management Pty Ltd ACN 099 137 274 ("CCM")
has a commitment to privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988
(Cwth) (Privacy Act) and the guidelines and policies
of the Australian Privacy Commissioner. This Privacy Policy is provided
to make you aware of how CCM collects, uses and manages personal information.
- "personal information" means information or an opinion recorded
about an individual that makes the individuals identify reasonably
apparent or ascertainable. CCM views the privacy of personal information
as an important issue.
- In making this Privacy Policy, CCM does so, on the basis that this
policy does not replace or limit the requirements of the Privacy Act.
- Manner and purpose of collection of personal information
- CCM will collect personal information that is necessary to manage
training, Users are issued with user ID's and passwords so that participants
and their managers can access the relevant online training, training
plans and assessments. The type of information CCM collects includes,
but may not be limited, to the types of information referred to in
section 18E of the Privacy Act, such as your name and address and,
your domain name, e-mail address, and inforation about the pages you
access.
- Some participant's information may be made available to other Registered
Training Organisations or provider organisations but only if the particpant's
employer has agreed to this and if thoes organisation are compliant
with the Privacy Act.
- CCM will not disclose personal information about our users to other
unrelated third parties unless:
- The relevant individual has consented to us using his or her
personal information for other purposes; or
- its use for another purpose is required or permitted by law.
- Accuracy and completeness of personal information
- While CCM will endeavour to ensure that the personal information
collected from an individual is up to date and complete, CCM will
assume that any personal information provided by you is free from
errors and omissions, is not misleading or deceptive and complies
with all relevant laws.
- CCM relies on the personal information provided by you. CCM will
not check or verify the accuracy of any personal information it obtains
from you or other persons.
- You should provide CCM with details of any changes to your personal
information as soon as reasonably practicable following such change.
- In some instances, the personal information held by CCM about you
may incorporate or summarise views, guidelines or recommendations
of third parties. CCM will endeavour to assemble and record such personal
information in good faith, but cannot guarantee that it will necessarily
involve a considered review of the information.
- Distribution of your personal information
- CCM does not permit the personal information it holds to be distributed
to third parties unless:
- It is to a third party which agrees to appropriate privacy restrictions
with CCM;
- the relevant individual has consented or requested his or her
personal information to be provided to a third party; or
- CCM is required or permitted by law to provide information to
a third party.

- The Privacy Officer will endeavour to deal with your inquiry or
complaint as soon as is reasonably practicable.
- Cookies
A cookie is a data file that a web-site transfers to your hard drive.
This enables the web-site to track the pages you have visited. A cookie
contains your session identity, it does not contain any personal information,
and it cannot read data on your hard drive. The CCM web-site uses non-persistent
cookies, once you log out of the system the cookie is cleared from your
PC. You should set your browser to accept cookies in order to use our
